Opened in 2015, The VIP Store is Sight Matter's shop.

The VIP Store stocks a wide range of good quality preowned clothes, books, ornaments, furniture and other items at its convenient Strand Street location.

The name reflects not only how we treat our customers, but also who we are raising funds for: VIPs, or Visually Impaired People.

Open from 10.30am to 4.00pm from Monday to Saturday and staffed by our friendly volunteers, we invite you to pop in to browse the rails and shelves – you never know what bargain or must-have gift you’ll find.

If you'd like to volunteer at the VIP Store, please get in touch.

Recycle Bins

We have three available in the Douglas and Onchan area. One is at Manx Blind Welfare Society , Corrin Court, Onchan, one at Onchan District Commissioners car park, Main road, Onchan and one at Shoprite, Victoria road, Douglas (on Linden Grove). All items from the bins go to the shop to be prepared for sale. Thank you to everyone that donates items to us.

Donation Stations

If you want to donate from the comfort of you office, you can try one of our donation stations. The donation station fits easily into a corner of your office. You then place the items inside and once the bin is full, let us know and we will collect the items.

What Do We Sell?

• A quality range of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes

• Accessories - jewellery, handbags and more

• Fabrics - bedlinen, curtains, blankets and more

• Homeware - smaller items of furniture, ornaments, kitchenware and more

• Books, records, CDs and DVDs

• Toys and games

Please note we are unable to sell duvets or pillows, mains electric items, baby seats, crash or cycle helmets.

Our Commitment To Waste Reduction

Whilst we really need good quality items, lower quality clothing is sold to traders
who specialise in onward selling for a range of uses. Every bag nets an income to the
Society which means that virtually everything that is donated realises an income to
support the work of Sight Matters.
