New Name, Same Great Cause - Sign Up To The Ivan Soulsbury Coast 2 Coast Walk

May 08, 2025

The C2C is Back v2

If the name sounds slightly different this year, that’s because it is. We’ve renamed our annual walk in honour of Ivan Soulsbury, a wonderful supporter and friend of Sight Matters. In 2024, Ivan made an incredible gesture—donating £1,000 for every single walker who took part in the Coast 2 Coast. Renaming the walk is our way of recognising this amazing gesture.

Mark your calendars for Sunday 7th September 2025. The Ivan Soulsbury Coast 2 Coast Walk, proudly sponsored by Conister Bank.

As always, the walk is open to all—whether you’re a seasoned hiker, a family with little ones, or just fancy a leisurely stroll with the dog. You can choose between the full 12-mile route from the NSC in Douglas to Peel, or opt for the gentler 3-mile version starting at St John’s. Both routes are flat, with rest stops, water bowls for furry friends, and support along the way. It’s not a race—it’s all about enjoying the journey together.

Cathryn Bradley, CEO at Sight Matters, said:
“We’re so pleased to bring back Coast 2 Coast in 2025, and even more proud to rename it after Ivan. His generosity left a real mark on our community. We’re also thrilled that Conister Bank is back on board—they’ve been amazing partners, and their support helps make this event the success that it is.”

Douglas Grant, Managing Director at Conister Bank, added:
“We are honoured to continue our support for Sight Matters through the Ivan Soulsbury Coast 2 Coast Walk. Ivan’s legacy and the work of Sight Matters reflect values we hold dear at Conister Bank, community, inclusivity and resilience. This walk not only raises vital funds but brings people together in a way that inspires and strengthens our shared sense of purpose. We look forward to seeing walkers of all ages and abilities take part in what promises to be another memorable event.”
