Launching 90 For 90: Take on the Challenge for Sight Matters

In 2026, Sight Matters is celebrating 90 years of supporting blind and visually impaired people on the Isle of Man. To mark this milestone, we’re inviting individuals, groups, businesses  and organisations to get involved in a special anniversary challenge: 90 For 90.

The challenge is simple and flexible. Choose an activity inspired by the number 9 or 90 and take part in a way that suits you. You could walk 9 miles, swim 9 lengths a week, cycle for 90 minutes, complete 90 workouts, read for 90 hours, or create your own unique challenge. There’s no right or wrong way to take part.

Why take part in 90 For 90?

By joining 90 For 90, you’ll be helping Sight Matters continue its vital work supporting people who are blind or visually impaired to live independent, confident and connected lives. Funds raised through the challenge help us provide practical support, information, social opportunities and specialist services across the Island.

It’s also a great way to set a personal goal, bring people together, and be part of something positive during our 90th anniversary year. The 90 For 90 will run throughout 2026, and you can take part at any time, and for however long, you like. 

How to get involved

1. Choose your challenge
Pick an activity based around the number 90 that works for you. It can be physical, creative, individual or team-based.

2. Set up your fundraising page
Create your fundraising page through our JustGiving campaign and share why you’re taking part in 90 For 90

3. Use a sponsorship form (optional)
If you’d prefer to collect donations offline, you can download our sponsorship form here.

4. Share and celebrate
Tell friends, family or colleagues about your challenge and keep them updated on your progress. And let us know so that we can support you!
