We're thrilled to announce that our exclusive Christmas cards are now available for purchase. Head to Corrin Court, The VIP Store in Strand Street, or the Douglas, Onchan, Port Erin, Ramsey Bowring Road, and Peel Derby Road Shoprite stores to pick up a pack.
This year, our Christmas card designs hold a special significance as they were handpicked by none other than the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer at the Sight Matters Arts Exhibition.
The winning designs were chosen from a significant number of Christmas Card competition entries, reflecting the talent and creativity within our community. Six-year-old McKenzie Holmes' artwork titled "It's Nearly Time" captured the essence of anticipation on Christmas Eve, which resonated with the Governor's own memories of his children on Christmas Eve.
The other design chosen was created by the remarkable 101-year-old Burma veteran Mr. James Fenton FRPS, titled "Walking In The Snow," which depicts a touching scene of a blind snowman being guided by a snowchild through the winter landscape.
The fact that our members' designs grace this year's cards stands as a testament to the incredible capabilities of blind and visually impaired individuals. We're profoundly grateful to Shoprite for their continued support in stocking our cards.
We extend, too, our heartfelt appreciation to Patricia Wild Optometrists for their generous sponsorship, a vital contribution that made this beautiful project a reality. Their support has been instrumental in making this initiative possible.
By purchasing these unique cards, you're not just sending festive wishes; you're also contributing to our ongoing efforts in creating a world where blind and visually impaired individuals can lead fulfilling lives free of discrimination. Together, let's light up this holiday season with the warmth of community and the spirit of giving.
£6 a pack or £10 for two.
