Sight Matters Launches New Cookbook

A Taste of Local Goodness

Sight Matters has launched a new charity cookbook, Food Matters. The book invites you to explore Isle of Man residents' favourite dishes, with each of the over 70 recipes being contributed by local people - including Lady Lorimer, The Right Reverend Peter Eagles, several MHKs and MLCs, as well as Sight Matters' volunteers and staff.

The book was lovingly compiled by Sight Matters' volunteer Pauline Jones throughout 2023, with Mannin Group kindly donating their design services. From traditional comfort foods to modern delights, this cookbook showcases the diverse and delicious flavors that your fellow Manxies enjoy cooking and eating.

Food Matters is currently available at Corrin Court in Onchan and the VIP Store in Strand Street. The book is priced at £15 with all proceeds going to Sight Matters. These funds will support Sight Matters our mission to assist individuals with visual impairments on the Isle of Man.

Food Matters isn't just an ordinary cookbook; it's a celebration of local community and flavours. By picking up your copy, you're not just enhancing your culinary repertoire but also helping to support an important local charity.

If you'd like to find out more about the cookbook or how to get one, please email enquiries@sightmatters.im or call 674727. If you are a shop owner, and are interested in stocking Food Matters, please email pmarshall@sightmatters.im.
